Since 2009, R&R Pools has raised and donated more than $11,000 to Cystic Fibrosis Canada, a charitable organization that raises funds in support of cystic fibrosis research, advocacy

and clinical care. Cystic fibrosis is an inherited disease that clogs the lungs with thick mucus, leading to chronic infections that eventually kill. In 2011, most Canadians affected by this devastating disease died before reaching their 34th birthday.

It is one of the most common fatal genetic disease affecting Canadians, requiring those living with the disease to take more than 25 pills and enzymes each day, and to participate in hours of physiotherapy to clear mucus from their airways. Cumulatively, Canadians with cystic fibrosis spend over 25,000 days in hospital, and attended clinics more than 15,000 times each year.

R&R Pools is committed to continuing their partnership with Cystic Fibrosis Canada, and last year they donated a record amount through their first gala dinner, held at Son Vida in Bedford South. It was sure to be fantastic event,  featuring a 5 course meal, each course being paired with a nice wine, and an exciting live and silent auction. R&R Pools celebrated their 30th anniversary and worked hard to gather auction items for the evenings event. In February, R&R Pools was presented a plaque in apprecaitaion of the $6000 raised for Splash for CF, BioGuards official Cystic Fibrosis fund raiser.

This year as the summer approaches the R&R Team looks forward to continuing their fight against this deadly disease.
