About Kara Redden
For more than 25 years, Kara Redden has dedicated her career to helping Nova Scotia families create outdoor spaces where memories are made for generations. As President and Owner of R&R Pools, she leads one of Atlantic Canada’s most established pool companies, combining decades of hands-on industry experience with a commitment to exceptional customer service, education, and quality craftsmanship.
Growing up in the family business, Kara developed an understanding of every aspect of pool construction long before becoming owner. She has worked throughout the company in customer service, retail operations, service coordination, project management, marketing, and executive leadership. That broad experience allows her to guide homeowners through every stage of building a swimming pool—from selecting the right pool design and understanding construction timelines to choosing equipment and planning an entire backyard that fits their family’s lifestyle.
Kara believes the best pool projects begin with education rather than sales. Her approach focuses on helping homeowners understand their options, evaluate the advantages of different pool types, anticipate potential site challenges, and make confident decisions based on their goals rather than high-pressure sales tactics. Throughout each project, she remains involved to help answer questions, solve challenges, and ensure clients always have someone they can trust.
Beyond serving homeowners, Kara has been committed to advancing the swimming pool industry itself. She served as Atlantic Chapter President of the Pool and Hot Tub Council of Canada, working alongside other industry professionals to promote higher standards, education, professionalism, and responsible business practices throughout Atlantic Canada.
Today, Kara continues to lead R&R Pools alongside a dedicated team that has earned the trust of homeowners across Halifax Regional Municipality and surrounding communities for more than 40 years. Under her leadership, the company focuses on building high-quality fiberglass and vinyl swimming pools while providing ongoing service, maintenance, renovations, and expert support long after construction is complete.
When she isn’t working with clients or leading the team at R&R Pools, Kara enjoys spending time with her husband Ryan, their daughter Fallon, and their two pets. She also enjoys reading, travelling, continuous learning, and finding new ways to improve the customer experience.
